A Revision to Alchemy [D&D 5th]

D&D 5th leaves a lot of item creation not particularly fleshed out.  While that's likely intentional, it leaves a lot of detail to be desired.  ENWorld contributor Fralex came up with a complete overhaul for Alchemy that makes it rather detailed and diverse.  Check it out here.

Indexing Free D&D 5th Content

Given Wizards of the Coast's new, Super Intuitive web site, I figured I would index all of the PDF content for D&D 5th I could find for some ease of use.

Another Mock Draft

MTG Mock Draft

Roll20 Shadowrun Macros

I had my first session of Shadowrun 20th Anniversary Edition using the free Roll20 virtual tabletop on Saturday.  All in all, it took a huge amount of hackery in advance to make work, but I'm pleased at the result to a certain degree.  It made large combats not a horrible painful chore like they had been, and really smoothed up a lot of things.  All in all, it went well.  Two things were lacking: Firstly, their Wound Mod calculation didn't work most of the time; and secondly, it lacked the ability to take successes on an attack roll and turn them into a boost for damage dice, meaning that a second macro with more user inputs had to handle damage.  In any case, here's the set of macros that I used to work most of the combat in-engine, since I noticed next to no support on the wiki.

Ars Technica Measures Which Steam Games We Play, and Which We Don't

And here's a quick summary of the unplayed titles:

Draft Time!

This week's draft.

I passed up on a fairly strong counter-draft in Round 3, which is my only anxiety: first and second picks were Shock.

Re-doing This Week's Draft

I wasn't happy about the lack of removal I had earlier in the week.  Here's B/R Aggro from the same card pool.

This week's draft

Milk Run Structure

So far, my Shadowrun 4 campaign has largely been narrative-driven, but the players have finally transitioned into being runners. The downside of having players with limited playtime, hacking through three sessions has taken six months. I intend to expand my campaign's player base, and offer mini-sessions, possibly via roll20, called "milk runs." Here's the format I have planned for each Milk Run.

CCP Cancels WoD MMO

Sadface.  Via Gamespot:
The studio says it was "falling regretfully short" in its goals of creating an vampire-themed MMO. Following the cancellation, 56 employees at the Atlanta, Georgia studio have been laid off. Some of the team are said to have been offered other roles within the company, with the remaining staff at the studio now working on games set in the EVE universe.

Another Magic Draft

Another Magic Simulated Draft.  This week, a BU removal-heavy deck with one real bomb (Guardian of the Ages) and two tutors to nab it.
