Bethsoft was very proud of its MMO rendition of the Elder Scrolls series, which ultimately appears to match the visuals of Oblivion on a Low-Res machine (or a high-res mod pack for Morrowind), traditional ES gameplay, and multiple players. Unfortunately, they were completely blown out of the water by an announcement out of left field by Sony Online Entertainment.
There are not one, but two Everquest games coming out. The first, EQ Next, feels like a breath of fresh air into the MMO Genre, with the innovations in gameplay captured with Guild Wars 2 (multi-classing, acrobatics, exploration, limited ability use) combined with a destructible environment and beautiful graphics, as well as a dynamically populated world that changes as people play. The second is a free to play version which comes with amazing-looking modding tools where you can build items and locations that may very well be selected to go in EQ next.
Flexible classing, not multi-classing, in GW2.
ReplyDeleteTrue. Upon further inspection, it appears EQNext will actually have a class system like GW1, with ability selection mirroring it. It appears to differ in that your "primary" class may be malleable.
