The Herald: Mob War Continues

Sept. 7, 2053
Three more fatalities add to the Meuller-Marconi turf war today as Meuller thugs assault a Marconi drug den in an old munitions warehouse.

While FedPols officers responded to a bank robbery call leading to the death of three hostages, two officers, and three perpetrators yet to be identified, a Knight Errant responded to a call of shots fired in the Navy Yard, stormed the abandoned facility and stopped the violence using nonlethal munitions, leading to no casualties and the arrest of Meuller lieutenant Justin "the Brick" Voletta, five other thugs.  Minimal FedPol presence was available at the scene, declined comment.

On a related note, Judy Weis, Commission delegate from Fairfax, suggested that Ares subsidiary Knight Errant be contracted for some emergency services, citing that she now has the backing of four of the eight members of the council.  The Commission has nine members, with 7 regional commissioners appointed by their jurisdictions, 1 at-large member elected by overall vote of the FDC, and a Chief Commissioner appointed by the President of the UCAS.  No other Commissioner could be reached for comment.
