The Herald: Police Charity Benefit This Saturday

 Sept. 20, 2052
The Federal Police hold their annual charity ball at the Quetzal hotel and casino at the mouth of the Occoquan river this Saturday.

The spacious Aztechnology-owned hotel and casino, built in 2049, will play host to the D.C. commission, the Federal Police service, and various and sundry local dignitaries.  Relations between the commission and the FedPols have been heated lately, and sources report that Chief Wigmore hopes to cool some of the tension between Commissioner Weis (Fairfax) and the department prior to the October council vote on de-funding the FedPols.
The Quetzal plays host to the largest casino floor in the area, as well as a 1,500-seat concert amphitheater and a massive indoor atrium, and houses a convention center floor that can seat more than 3,000.  Above the ground level, 2,000 rooms fill a sprawling pyramid sporting an Atzlan theme.
